Captions and transcripts
Tick the transcript box when you upload and we run speech-to-text, with an in-app editor to fix names and wording. Choose it at upload time: there is no way to add a transcript to a video afterwards.

Pick a frame or upload your own, and grab a share image with a play-button overlay.
Bring your library with you
Import straight from Wistia — projects become folders, titles, descriptions, and your edited captions come along, and originals are fetched where they exist. Or drag a whole exported folder into the uploader and its structure becomes your folders. Every plan.
Record your screen or camera
Record your screen, your camera, or both, straight into your library from the console: no app to install, parts saved as you go so a closed tab loses seconds, captions on by default, and a share link that works before processing finishes. Every plan; Free recordings are up to five minutes each.
Trim and fades after the fact
Cut the start and the end, and add a fade in and out, once a recording is saved. The original is kept untouched and the edited cut is what plays. Studio and up.

Allowed domains
Choose the domains where each video can be embedded. Copied embed code won't play anywhere you haven't allowed. Included on every paid plan.
Allowed domains controls where your videos can be embedded, not who can download or screen-record them. It is not DRM. If you need DRM-level anti-piracy, we are not the right tool yet. Folders & video management
Folders nested up to three deep, rename, move, trash with a 30-day restore, and per-video settings.
Share pages, when you want one
A dedicated, brandable page per video, with an optional description and downloadable files. Or turn the page off, and the video plays only in your embeds and channels.
Channels
Branded watchlists at your own URL. Public channels on Creator and up; private channels, with per-viewer sign-in and watch tracking, on Studio and up.
Attachments
Attach files to a video (PDFs, docs, images, zips) for viewers to download from the share page. Studio and up.
Client review and approvals
Send a share link and get notes back, each stamped to the second it refers to and marked on the timeline. Reviewers leave a name and a comment without making an account, you reply or resolve, and they sign off when the cut is right. Every paid plan.
Password-protected share pages
Put a password on any share page. A protected page also stops generating link previews, so a forwarded link cannot show a frame to somebody it was not meant for. Every paid plan.
Expiring share links
Hand out a link that stops working after six hours, a day, or up to thirty days, and revoke it sooner if you like. It opens a video even when its share page is off, so one person gets a way in without the video going public. A password still applies. Every paid plan.
Send a video by email
Pick up to ten people, add a note, and choose how long their link works. Each person gets their own email with the poster and a button to watch, sent the moment the video is ready. Every paid plan.
Comments and reactions
Let anyone who opens the share page leave a comment, pinned to the moment they were watching, and one of six reactions. New comments reach you in an email digest, and you can remove any. Every plan. A video takes comments or client-review notes, not both.

Tick a box when you record or upload and you get one email once processing and captions are done, with a button to the share page. Every plan.

Keys are scoped, so a key you hand to a script does the one job you gave it and nothing more. Nothing in the API or the connector can change billing, your team, or your branding, and nothing can delete permanently.
