What changed.

Every feature and fix that reached production, dated. Nothing here describes something that is still on the way.

Allowed domains: one switch for Iframely-based embeds

Editors built on Iframely (Notion, HubSpot and many others) frame a player from Iframely's own servers, which a locked video refused. A checkbox under Allowed domains, per video or in the account default, now allows those embeds without listing their hosts. The embed documentation names the hosts for anyone who prefers the list.

Blur the background behind you when recording

Recording your camera, alone or in the corner of a screen recording, now has a Background option: blurred, or strongly blurred. A person-detection model runs in your browser and blurs everything but you; no video leaves the page for it. On paid plans. Where a browser cannot run it, the recorder says so and records as it is.

Comments and reactions, expiring links, send by email, and a ready notice

A share page can now take comments, pinned to the moment they refer to, and one of six reactions from anyone who opens it, on every plan; new comments reach the video's owner in a digest. On paid plans, create a link that stops working after six hours to thirty days (it opens a video even when its share page is off), or send a video to up to ten people by email with a note. Tick "Email me when it's ready" when recording or uploading and one email arrives once processing and captions are done. A video takes comments or client-review notes, not both.

Record your screen or camera

Record your screen, your camera, or both from the console, on every plan. Parts upload as you record, so a closed tab loses seconds rather than the recording; captions are on by default; and the share link works before processing finishes. Free recordings are up to five minutes each. Studio and Broadcast can trim the start and end and add fades afterwards, without touching the original.

Authenticator-app sign-in, optional or required

Add an authenticator app to your sign-in under Settings → Security, on every plan. An admin can require one of everyone on the account, in which case a password sign-in without an app is asked to set one up before continuing. Google sign-ins are covered by Google's own verification. Playback links also refresh themselves now, so a long viewing session never stalls.

Per-student progress, caption language, and oEmbed

A private channel shows each viewer's progress lesson by lesson, in the console and through the API. Caption tracks carry the language they were spoken in. Share links now answer oEmbed, so tools that embed by link (Iframely, and the platforms that use it) render a Stillhaven player from the link alone.

Free accounts can upgrade from the console

Choosing a paid plan under Settings now opens a checkout to add a card, then switches the plan. Before this, a Free account that tried to upgrade got a billing error, because Free is a $0 subscription with no card behind it. The receipt for an upgrade now names the plan you bought.

Import your Wistia library

Connect a read-only Wistia API token, pick the projects you want, and they arrive as folders with titles, descriptions, the captions you edited, and the original files where Wistia still holds them. Re-running an import never creates duplicates. On every plan, including Free.

Upload a whole folder with its structure intact

Drag an exported folder into the uploader and its subfolders become your folders. Built for moving a library from another host in one go.

Right-click the player

Every player now has its own menu: copy the video link, copy a link to the current moment, change playback speed, loop, picture in picture, and report a problem. The settings gear gained a speed section that works on every browser.

A public API and a Claude connector

A documented REST API with scoped keys, managed under Settings, covers your library, folders, channels, embed settings and usage. Connect Stillhaven to Claude and ask for what you want in plain words. Every paid plan.

Client review on share pages

Reviewers leave timestamped notes on a share page without an account, you reply or resolve, and they sign off when the cut is right. Notes arrive in a daily digest. Off by default on every video; every paid plan.

Password-protected share pages and link previews

Put a password on any share page. Links to an open share page now unfurl with a frame and a play badge in chat and social apps; a protected page deliberately shows nothing. Every paid plan.

Allowed domains, share page visibility, and source analytics

List the domains where each video may be embedded, per video or as a library default, and turn a video's public page off so your embeds are the only way in. Analytics now name the sites where each video loads, plays, or is refused. Allowed domains and source analytics on every paid plan; the share page switch on every plan.
